The Computer Science Diploma Program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the computer programming and computer operations fields, office and administrative support, and starting one’s own business. Students will receive instruction in business principles and practices as they apply to computer concepts and systems, managing and maintaining systems, programming basics, networking, and Microsoft Office applications.

Associate of Applied Science – Computer Science
Course Information & Overview
The Associate of Applied Science – Computer Science (AAS) is designed to provide students with the skills allowing them to be prepared for career growth and success in related fields in computer science. The program’s concentration focuses on applying critical thinking in the process of decision making and problem solving in the Information Technology (IT) and Information Science (IS) fields.
The program prepares students for an entry-level or mid-level position in computer science by giving them the knowledge, skills, and abilities to secure employment in the fields of computer programming, computer operations, IT/IS, network system administrator, system support and administration, and starting one’s own business.

WHAT IS FEDERAL STUDENT AID?
Federal Student Aid offers students financial assistance in the means of grants and loans. Title IV refers to Federal Student Aid.
When you apply for financial aid, you may receive loans as a part of your school’s financial aid package. If you take a loan, you need to make sure to understand all about the terms and conditions of the loan. When it comes to student loans, they are offered by the federal government, private sources including a bank or financial institution, or even from other organizations. Loans or financial aid made by the federal government, Federal Direct Loans, generally come with more benefits than loans taken from banks or private sources.
GTC was my first venture back into higher education since getting out of the military, and they have not only been extremely helpful as an education institution, but I have received more support from them than any physical campus I have ever attended. If you are unsure about school, GTC will make sure it goes as smoothly as possible for you to pursue schooling, and help you succeed and prepare you for many of the industry standards for higher education.
